With my MA in English from UMass Boston and my MFA in Playwrighting from Brandeis University, I have had some wonderful flexibility in growing myself as a teacher.
For the last twenty-five years, I have been a writing teacher with high school, college, ESL, adult learners, and gifted students. I have worked in public schools, alternative school programs, and at Brandeis University, UMass Boston, Wheelock College, and the Urban College of Boston.
In addition, for the last ten years, I have been the dramaturge with the TC Squared PlayLab, working with new and seasoned writers in the development of plays.
I will often give a lot of comments, both on the elements that I like and the ones that leave me confused or with questions. From ideas and structure to character development and imagery, to grammar and sentence structure, I will work with you to develop your short story, memoir, or play.
